There is no better form of free advertising than recommendations from happy customers. A happy customer can say in a review exactly what a buyer needs to hear in order to complete a purchase.
There are a few ways to get buyers to leave recommendations for your store online:
Facebook page reviews
One great place to showcase your buyer recommendations in on your Facebook business page. This will allow anyone visiting your page to see a rating for your store and also read the latest recommendations buyers left. You can direct buyers to leave a review on your page by sending them a post-purchase email, or add a card to each package, asking them to like your page and leave a review.
To show buyer recommendations on your page you will need to add a physical address for your store under your page info.
To do so just go in your page to your About tab and under Address enter your store address, if you don’t have a physical store you can add any address.
After saving your changes, click again on Address and choose the option to Show map, check-ins and star ratings on the Page.
Now your store will be available on Facebook Places, so in addition to adding a review buyers can also ‘check in’ if they visit your actual store and find your store on the map.
Google My Business Reviews
A Google My Business account, once Google Places Reviews, is another way for you to have buyers leave reviews for your store. We talked before about creating a Google Plus account for your store, now a Google My Business takes you Google+ account to a whole new level.
By plinking your store with a physical location on the map buyers will be able to see all kinds of information about your store right in the search results including address, directions to your store location on Google Maps, a click-to-call option, operation hours and more.
Other review sites
Google+ is your top choice for getting your reviews to show up in search results, but if you don’t have a physical location for your store it might not be the right option for you. However you can still have buyers leave reviews for your store and have your store reviews indexed in search results through sites such as Consumer Affairs and Reseller Ratings.
Buyers reviews can go a long way in building your online reputation, so take the necessary time to ask your existing buyers to leave a review on your Facebook page, Google+ account or any other site.
